Backup files from your smartphone

The following instructions explain which settings and prerequisites are needed to back up files from your smartphone.

1. WebDAV Server

First you need to install the free app WebDAV server on your smartphone:

1. Open Google Play Store on your smartphone.
2. Search for the app WebDAV server from the company The Olive Tree.
3. Install the app WebDAV server.
4. Open the app WebDAV server.
5. Start the server via the start button.
6. Below the start button the IP-address of the server will be displayed:
   e.g. http://192.168.1.114:8080

2. Profile Properties

1. Open the profile with which you want to access the files on your smartphone.
2. In the left menu select Folders.
3. Press the 2. button above the source folder list.
4. Enter the server address, port and folder into the text field: e.g. \\192.168.1.114@8080\DCIM

3. Assign Drive Letter (optional)

Additionally, you can assign the shared folder on your smartphone with a drive letter to access all files on your smartphone:

1. Open the Windows Explorer and right-click on Network.
2. Choose Map network drive ... at the displayed content menu.
3. Enter the IP-address and port of the server:
   Example: \\192.168.1.114:8080
4. Activate the option Reconnect at sign-in.
5. Click on the button Finish.

4. Important Information

Make sure that the smartphone is connected to the same Wi‑Fi network name as the computer with AllSync installed.
