ZIP-Tool
The ZIP-Tool enables you to check, unpack or list the contents of your created ZIP files. The ZIP-Tool can be called up via the AllSync menu bar under the menu itemTools and is available with the AllSync Professional Edition or higher.
The following actions are available via the toolbar:
- Extract ZIP file
- Check ZIP file integrity
- Show contents of ZIP file
- Display information about the ZIP file
ZIP file
Here you can add a ZIP file using the... button or select a previously selected ZIP file using the drop-down list.
You can use additional buttons to open the selected ZIP file, open the storage location with Windows Explorer or remove the ZIP file from the drop-down list.
Password
Here you can set a required password for unpacking or checking the ZIP file.Size format
Here you can specify the format for the size specification in the table and in the log. The following settings are possible: Automatic, Bytes, KB, MB and GB.Actions
Extract
Click theExtractbutton to extract the selected ZIP file to the specified folder.
Extract to
The folder in which the content of the ZIP file is to be extracted is specified here.
Create file paths
This option specifies that files are extracted to the specified folder using their saved path. Otherwise, the file will be saved to the specified folder without the saved path.
Skip existing files
This option specifies not to overwrite existing files in the specified folder.
Check
This action checks the ZIP file for errors. This unpacks and checks each individual file in the ZIP file in memory.
Content
With this action, the entire content of the ZIP file will be displayed in the table. The following file information is displayed in the table:- File name
- File size unpacked
- File size packed
- Modified date
- Creation date
- File attributes
- Compression method
- Encrypted
- File path
Info
This action lists various information about the zip file in the log.
