AllSync Service Tool

With the AllSync Service Tool, you can install the AllSync Scheduler as a Windows service. This has the advantage that tasks can be started even when no Windows user is logged in. The Service Tool is available starting with the AllSync Business Edition.

Important Information

  • The Service Tool and the scheduler do not need to be running for the scheduler service to execute tasks.
  • The scheduler service cannot be started while the scheduler itself is active.
  • If Windows error 1069 appears when starting the scheduler service, either the login credentials (username or password) are incorrect or the account does not have permission to log on as a service.
  • If your profiles access mapped network drives, you should replace them with the direct UNC path of the network share. Windows services can only access drive letters mapped to network shares if the user under which these drives are available is logged in to the system.
  • Changes to the task list, tasks, or scheduler options are automatically applied by the scheduler service every 5 seconds when idle (no task is running).
  • The user account under which the scheduler service is running must have access to the defined storage location of the AllSync application data.
  • When uninstalling the scheduler service, it may not be immediately removed by the system but only marked internally for deletion. In this case, restart the computer to ensure the service is fully uninstalled.
