Temporary Creation of ZIP Files
This option first creates the ZIP file in the specified folder and then moves it to the destination folder.Folder
Specify the folder where the ZIP file should be temporarily created.When should temporary ZIP creation be used?
- With the backup option 'Compress files' in the 'Backup' copy mode
- With the data protection option 'Move files and folders to a backup folder'
- With the copy option 'Save source file as ZIP file in destination'
Important Notes
- The temporary folder should be located on a local hard drive with sufficient storage space.
- This option must be enabled to allow updates to files within a ZIP archive.
- If the option is not used, the ZIP file is created directly in the destination folder. This can significantly slow down the creation process, especially on network drives.
